| Once, a theatre going was a luxurious hobby. A Tea House is accomodated in front of a play house where people arrive in ample time before the raising of the curtain. They change KIMONO (Clothes) to their gala attire, take some meals and/or drinks and sometimes, a patron invites his favorite KABUKI actor to give a tip. A rich merchant takes his daughter and GEISHA girl to share such a joyful time and a young daughter is having a hard time calming herself by watching a beautiful OYAMA (Kabuki actor in female character) over her father's back. |
